International Energy Storage owns its networking in the natural resource industry, particularly in South Africa. It holds a close partnership with the world-class mine in South Africa.
Overview of the Mine
The Mine is a world-class high-grad Vanadium-bearing Titano-Magnetite (VTM) deposit in South Africa that once supplied more than 10% of the world's vanadium demand a year.
The expected annual output of the mine is to reach the level of 3 million tons.
With mineral resources of average V2O5 grade 1.5%+, the Mine is one of the highest grade vanadium mines in the world with great exploration potential.
Resources of the Mine
Over 20 million tons of proven resources were all high-grade massive ores. The proven resources area, covering approximately 5 square kilometers, accounted for less than 10% of the 80 square kilometers mining area.
As the Mine is expected to explore dozens of tons of VTM ores, its Life-Of-Mine (LOM) can be extended substantially.
Ore bodies can be divided into main seam and overlying seam. The overlying seam is close to the surface and is a third of a meter thick. The main seam comprises two layers with a total thickness of two meters.
VTM ores contain Fe ~52.8%, V2O5 ~1.5%-1.8%, and TiO2 ~12%-13%.
Compared with other mines, the Run-of-Mine ores at the Mine contain higher grade of vanadium pentoxide. VTM ores with high-grade vanadium pentoxide enable efficient and low-cost production of high-purity vanadium products.
